Story:

Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s character, Tillu, strikes it big financially and transitions into event organizing without altering his attitude. Instantly captivated by Anupama Parameswaran’s character, Lilly, Tillu embarks on a quest to win her affection from their first encounter.

However, his pursuit leads him into unforeseen trouble once more. The narrative unfolds as Tillu grapples with the challenges he faces, striving to overcome them and progress in his pursuit of both love and success

Plus Points:

Movies such as DJ Tillu and Tillu Square depend a lot on how the main character is shown. The biggest challenge for the creators is to make sure they do this part well. Tillu, the main character, has really connected with the audience a lot, making it hard to make the same impact again. But the team did a great job and succeeded in making the character shine brightly once more.

This whole Tillu series is all about Siddhu. He’s the main focus, and viewers will definitely enjoy watching him. Right from the start, Siddhu keeps us hooked with his funny jokes, the way he moves, and his hilarious facial expressions. Siddhu’s timing for comedy is spot-on, and he really nails it.

Since Siddhu is also the writer, he understands exactly what the audience wants from him and delivers it. The second part of the movie is packed with continuous fun. The comedy comes from clever one-liners and modern dialogues.

Anupama Parameswaran does well in her confident role. She has great chemistry with the main character and her role sticks with him throughout the film, just like in the previous Tillu Square movie. Muralidhar Goud, Prince Cecil, and the other supporting actors do a decent job in their roles too.

Minus Points:

The sequel picks up right where the first movie left off. However, after a good beginning, things slow down a bit in the first hour. The romantic storyline is filled with jokes. While some of them are funny, others don’t quite hit the mark. This causes the story to drag a bit in the first half.

Like mentioned earlier, movies like Tillu Square rely more on how the characters are portrayed rather than the plot itself. People who expect a gripping story might feel a bit let down.

Some scenes might feel familiar because the story is quite similar to the first movie. The handling of certain aspects might seem silly. Murali Sharma’s character isn’t shown much, and the final twist feels forced.

Technical Aspects:

The songs fit nicely into the story. Ram Miryala and Achu Rajamani did a good job with the songs, and Bheems Ceciroleo’s background score matches the movie’s quirky feel. The editing by Navin Nooli is alright. The cinematography by Sai Prakash is excellent, and the scenes look vibrant and colorful.

The production quality is good as well. As for the director, Mallik Ram did a good job in telling this familiar story in an enjoyable way. There are some flaws, but the team made up for them with funny moments.

Verdict:

Overall, Tillu Square is a nice follow-up to DJ Tillu, packed with lots of fun. Siddhu as Tillu is the heart of this crazy comedy, and he will charm us once again with his funny timing and acting. The story is mostly the same as the first one, and some scenes may feel familiar. The first part of the movie is a bit disappointing, and some things don’t seem believable. But the second part is full of fun that works well. There are some problems, but the fun keeps the movie interesting. If you enjoyed DJ Tillu, you’ll probably like this sequel too.
